Everybody's teeth are different. For this reason, no two Orthodontic cases are alike, and each patient needs a unique course of treatment. We welcome patients privately and under the NHS. Note that treatment under the NHS is only available to patients under the age of 18. Many families choose private treatment for their child for a variety of reasons, which can be discussed with the Orthodontist.
At the first appointment, it is necessary to obtain records of the patient's mouth and teeth. Usually we take X-Rays and make Impressions, though the latter may take place at a later date.
Treatment lengths vary. Treatment with fixed braces often takes between 18 months and two years. Although some less involved cases can take far less time. Adjustments to appliances are typically made at 4 to 6 week intervals.
